1How does your Reminder service work?

It’s really easy.

  1. Create an account (it’s 100% free and always will be).
  2. Create a profile for each of your rental property(ies).
  3. For each property, enter the details of when your landlord related services (e.g. Gas Safety Inspection) are due to expire and when you would like to be reminded (e.g. one month before the expiration date).
  4. We will email you with a reminder to renew your service. We will also recommend our one favourite supplier.
  5. Once you renew your service, you can log back into your account and reschedule a reminder for when it’s due to expire again.
  6. You can add/delete as many reminders you need.

2Is your Reminder service 100% free?

Absolutely.

Our reminder service is 100% free and always will be. It won’t cost you a bean.

If you use any of the service suppliers that we recommend, we’re paid a commission. That’s how we’re able to offer our reminder service for free.

3Why can't we set our Reminders to automatically renew every year?

We thought about this long and hard, and we decided that in practise, setting automatic reminders isn’t very practical for real life cases.

For example, it’s unlikely that a Gas Safety Inspection will be conducted every year on the exact same date. In that case, your renewal date will be different from the previous year.

Other than that, we really want to encourage you to keep on top of your reminders and actively maintain their accuracy.

4Can I cancel the Reminders/Emails?

Yup.

Just log into your account and you will have the ability to:

  • Add/delete reminders
  • Activate/Deactivate email reminders
  • Delete your property(ies) (which will delete all associated reminders for that property)
  • Delete your account altogether (which will delete all your details, your properties and your reminders)

5Who are the suppliers and services you recommend?

Our objective is two-fold:

  1. to work with the most reputable suppliers;
  2. to offer you the most competitive prices for all your necessary landlord services and products.

The reality is, the more landlords that use our free reminder service, the more leverage we’ll have to arrange better deals with the best suppliers.

6Do I have to use your recommended suppliers and services?

Nope. Not at all.

Obviously we’d prefer it if you did, because that’s how we pay the bills. However, there is 100% no obligations to use any of our recommend suppliers and services.

Often, we will offer you unbeatable rates, but we realise that won’t always be the case. Ultimately, we want you to get the best deal in time whether that’s through one of our recommended suppliers or from elsewhere.

7Why do you only list one supplier per service/product?

To make it easy for you.

We don’t want to confuse you, or overload you with choices, like so many of the other comparison websites do. We only want to list our most recommended supplier for each service/product, in terms of price and service, which we hope will save you valuable time.

However, we may frequently change our recommend supplier for a particular service. It ultimately depends on how the market shakes up, and what we feel is the best deal available for landlords at any given time.

8I never received my reminder(s), why not?

Firstly, please ensure our email address (reminder@landlordmarket.co.uk) is white-listed so your email provider doesn’t block our emails.

Secondly, don’t forget to check your junk/spam folder. Our emails may have ended up in there.
